Less Concrete
Rueil Malmaison (92)
House
250 m²
Starting with a house dominated by concrete, the renovation of this property in Rueil Malmaison transformed the space, highlighting the various volumes for a much brighter result. In collaboration with the BKBS Architects agency, wood replaced concrete, achieving a contemporary and warm look that’s truly impressive!
Work done :
The renovation, completed over 18 months in two phases, included the following:
- The solid wood framework was stripped back to its original state.
- Roof windows were installed to bring in more natural light.
- The original woodwork was replaced with fully glazed corners.
- The fireplace was streamlined for a contemporary look.
- A load-bearing wall was removed to expand the space.
- And, of course, a decorative screen was installed.
Layout of the House
The upper floor now consists of two bedrooms, an office, an open kitchen, and a spacious living room. The ground floor includes a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, a dressing room, and a living area.
